Advantage BMW Houston: Discounts?

I am waiting on my M3 to arrive in February. Like many of you, I have been reading any and everything posted on this and other forums to order just the options I wanted. I have ordered a Mineral White 6MT M3, and I am thinking I will likely add a CF truck deck lip (spoiler) and possibly the front CF air splitter to complement the CF roof and contrast the MW paint.

I've learned theses parts, unlike others, cannot be added at the factory and, therefore, can not be residualized (I am leasing). Others have posted that you can often negotiate a discount on BMW aftermarket parts at the time of financing your car.

What discounts have you been able to negotiate, if any? I'd be particularly interested of the discounts offered by Advantage BMW Houston (downtown) as that is where I am getting my M3. Thanks!

Why not try BMW of San Antonio? I got $5,900.00 off MSRP from them.

Ask for Josh Barazza, tell him that Ciprian sent you to him, he is a good guy and will give you a good price.

I've had bad experiences with BMW of SA. They generally have poor customer service. I ended up ordering my car through Advantage BMW in Houston. When I went to order an MPE system in SA, the parts guy was cool, but the SAs were a$$es since I didn't order my car though them. I even told them that I worked with two SAs in SA and that neither was helpful. But I digress, anyway, they had another M4 there with MPE from a previous customer that cancelled their order. They wouldn't even let me hear the MPE on it since it was a "sold customer car." So much for them wanting to make $5K on exhaust.

I guess it just depends on the SA's you get there. I had a bad experience with Advantage BMW Midtown in Houston, they were giving me a good discount but they were just marking up the MF, so I just took my $500 deposit from them and walked away. Their sales manager, Kenny, emailed me and asked if there is something he can do to make me change my mind and when I replied that they marked up my MF he replied back that it is a normal things for dealers to do that, I just replied back to him not to bother to send me another offer if he is thinking like that.

edit: BMW of San Antonio also wanted to get me in a deal with 0.00150 MF, when I heard that I said ok, I will walk away, after that my SA said considering that your credit scores look good we will give you a 0.00130 MF and that is what they did. Plus the fact that I was in touch with this guy for a long time, he has just kept his patience and got me after that to get a car from him.

Good to hear. I agree. It's all based on the SA you get. Sometimes management is the problem with that also. Now if I can only find someone that has the MPE, I could hear it and decide.

I am in the same boat as you are... or maybe I can find someone with an Akrapovic, even better.

I took the plunge and went with MPE without hearing it in person. I heard some really good videos on this post that compared stock to MPE and it sounded great. Gonna get it installed on Saturday. If you're ever in the SA area, feel free to PM me and I can let you hear it.

I saw your post about the discount you got from BMW SA. When did you purchase and who did you deal with? I'm getting my M3 from there and want to see if I can get the same kinda deal.

I got my deal from Josh Barazza on December, 12. Ask about him, tell him Ciprian referred you to him, he will think that he has to give you a hell of a deal to catch you, too, because he was patient with me for a few months until he got me...

That's a good one. Why do you love them so much?

Edit: I have just read in the other topic where your love for them comes from.

BMW SA has about 38 M's in stock. i believe 99% of them with the sunroof. quiet a selection in terms of color/options. i dealt with Matt Towery, really knowledgeable. i was thinking of getting an M3 or 335 to go along with my M4 and gave me an amazing deal, but couldn't have an M4 and M3. Fiance didn't want to have 2 cars that are basically the same.

I was offered 5.5% off MSRP on a M3. Financing with no trade-in deal. Can give you the guy's name if needed. Have proof of the offer in an email too.

Ended up going with Momentum on a M4 though.

Advantage proudly told me they could sell me a car at a 7% discount if I got Euro Delivery.

That's 7% off of US Delivery MSRP, NOT ED MSRP.

I've bought 2 cars from them.... looks like there won't be a third.

Ridiculous. Charging you ED MSRP and calling it a deal. Are people really that gullible that they fall for that kind of stuff?

Dealt with Advantage in Dec '14 and we bought an F83 and a X5 50i at the same time through our businesses to take advantage of the section 179 accelerated depreciation tax deduct.

Was certainly not my most pleasant buying experience, but I beat them into submission and feel we did pretty good in the end. Unless I was holding a strong hand I would probably not buy from them again though. In the end, they had what we wanted in stock and we needed to make the purchase and take delivery before 12/31.

Man. The fact that you can deduct an F83 through a business is evidence that the tax code needs some work.

Regardless... you gotta make the money to deduct.

Also, this is section 179 accelerated depreciation with a limit of $11k first year (for F83). You can depreciate a dump truck or a Ferrari as long as you use them for business.

I prefer not to drive a dump truck to business meetings. An F83 is certainly no different than a Benz if it is your daily.
