TPMS RDC Module Pinout?
Hi guys I recently purchased a '09 pre-LCI 335i e92 and have been getting "TPMS inactive" on my dash. After replacing TPMS sensor on passenger front wheel and still having the light, I did some more digging and found that my RDC module (inside the wheel well) was missing, and ontop of that, the plug was ripped out and just 3 bare wires were there.
I have Black, Brown and Gray wires from the harness for the RDC but I'm not 100% sure which color goes to what pin. I've purchased the RDC module, new connector and the 3 wires needed to get everything working from the dealership, but they weren't able to help me with a wiring diagram so I just need to know the pinout. Any and all help is appreciated Thanks Last edited by vdepalm; 12-12-2014 at 03:06 PM.. |

Never mind, found this:
TPMS has changed since 2010, going from a 4-reciever system to single receiver. The receiver is located behind the passenger's side rear fender liner. Installation will use the same procedures as the Gen1 TPMS systems, since it is a 4-wire connection: - +12V Power - Ground - CAN High - CAN Low |

TPMS pinout wire colors
Quote:
I have 4 frayed wires that go to the missing TPMS receiver, which I have replaced. Just need to make sure I hook the wires back up correctly. I have a Red, Green, Brown and an Orange wire hanging loose with frayed ends. I think it is pin 1: Green pin 2: Red pin 3: Orange pin 4: Brown can anyone confirm this? |

I Know this is kind of off topic but why don't you code out the TPMS and code in the flat tire monitor, it works just as good and you can swap wheel without worrying about sensors or dead tpms sensors.

oddly enough, i bought a RDC antenna from ebay, and it came off of a junk yard car. The junk yard had just cut the module out and the original wires were connected to the connector and plugged into the RDC antenna.
I unplugged the connected and installed the RDC antenna. I may still have that dang connector sitting in my toolbox at home. I'll take a look and if i still have, i'll mail it to you. I dont remember if i still have it, or if it's a 3 or 4 wire setup, and what the colors are. I'll take a look this evening. |
