turbowaste gate warranty

can they deny coverage because of downpipes/exhaust/jb4/DCI?

Any experience? I am afraid of bringing my car in and having it denied. The service advisor says "bring it in and we'll see if it's the turbos and well go from there."

If they caused turbo's to work harder than BMW spec then yes, they can see that in the DME. JB4 tells the car its not producing enough boost to make it produce more, making it go above that 7psi. The DME records "I had to run 13 PSI to result 7 PSI" and if that's there all the time then that will raise questions. I'd defintely take the JB4 off, DCI as well because it's easy. It's pretty easy. Downpipes, you might be able to get away with.

Also check the florida area subsection, sometimes other people who have tried recommend techs who are mod friendly.

short answer, yes. remove the downpipes and the jb4. when they do the test plan with their fancy scanner it detects aftermarket software. the techs also look for piggy back software components. the dci should be ok, but if i were you id put the stock airbox back on.
