M235i Car Cover

Will be storing my car in a driveway for a couple months while I recover from a broken leg. Does anyone have a suggestion for a car cover for an M235i?

I see this BMW Future Car Cover is available, but at almost $400 its quite pricey: http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/46...CenterId=26700

Any ideas? Just want one that is good quality, won't scratch, and has some degree of weather protection.

Have the BMW cover and it's good and the least bulky cover I've owned.
Noah is also an excellent fabric, breathable and thicker then the BMW cover but also weighs very little.
If you have windy conditions I think the BMW cover uses a tab ( no grommets ) that closes inside door jamb while covers with low set grommets can be tied down

I have the BMW on for my convertible and it's quite nice. Call the guys in Mechanicsburg they'll give you a nice discount.

Can you link to the Noah cover?

Noah fabric
http://www.covercraft.com/cartlink/i...t&prod_id=ccnh

Custom car covers
http://www.covercraft.com/carcovers/...ar_covers.html

The BMW cover is very good, high reflective material that is one of the best for keeping the car cool, an excellent all around cover.
Remember your paint should be clean when putting a cover on.
In windy conditions a cover may need to be tied down, or removed.
I like covers best for their sun-protection, you can't remove a cover if there is ice or frozen precip on the cover.
If door dings are an issue, the Noah fabric may offer more protection then the BMW future cover.

I notice this site doesn't list the m235i as an option. Do you think selecting 228i would be ok?

I think the 228 will work on 235, ask them.
Also ask BMW dealer if 228 & 235 get same cover.

If you describe where the car will be parked/parking-lot, driveway, other cars parking side by side, and when you'll be able to check on it along with the environment it will be in; temps, precipitation, wind and bright sun versus overcast - I may have some opinions.

It will be in a driveway, with another car parked to the right of it. I won't be able to check on it as I have my leg broken, but its parked at a family member's house so they can check on it/start it from time to time. It's in east bay California, so not too much rain, some heat but rarely over 80-90º.

I would suggest the Covercraft Reflectect or the BMW Future cover.
They will keep car cool and block UV, they are not bulky and since family will park next to car you don't have to worry about dings.
It will also handle the occasional rain well.
My only concern is wind and the BMW doesn't have lower grommets for tie down and the Covercraft does.
The reason I don't suggest Noah, you don't need the thickness of the Noah and the multi-layer material of Noah is light weight but bulky. If door dings are a possible issue get the Noah.
The BMW cover has a clear window that displays rear license plate- some communities require this (apartments or street parking) but that doesn't seem to be a concern.

These covers are water resistant not water proof, so don't expect after three months a perfectly clean car, but you won't have environmental fall out etch your paint or intense sun exposure.

Good info, do you know how long they take to make a custom reflectect car cover? I'd hate for a month to go by without it covered, and read some reviews online that said they are a bit slow.

It's been a few years since ordering a custom cover. My last three covers were frm the car manufacturers.

I have the BMW cover and it's a great looking cover, and works great.
Hope your leg heals quick and strong!
