washing 436 wheels
Whats up
When I try washing by hand the 436 wheels I seem to not be able to not get knuckle bit every time. I even have small hands. I seem to be slicing it on the brake shield..... So anybody else go thru this or am I just a pansy ass. Just curious.....I like the wheels and am keeping them. Thanks for the feedback |

I use the square sponge that comes with the P21 spray and I'm very aware to press into the barrel and to move through to the next series of spokes so as not to attempt too many degrees of sweep when reaching through a spoke.
If I attempt to wipe the inner rim lip all the way around then the brake shield will cut me so I only attempt the inner rim at the 6:00 position ( might be 12:00 position, can't recall) Last edited by overcoil; 11-28-2014 at 08:10 AM.. |

I don't like any of the wheels brushes. But Zymol offers a nice sponge that can be cut to size of the P21 sponge. |

Youtube mechanic Scotty Kilmer wears a glove that looks to be between a surgical and a dishwashing. |

+1 i wear surgical gloves for all cleaning on the car. Gives you a layer of protection of scratches or slices. Also protects your skin from the constant contact of cleaning stuff.

A different option. I use this to clean the inner wells of my wheels:
http://www.detailersdomain.com/EZ-De...ush_p_637.html For the face of the wheel, use boars brushes or microfibers by hand. To take off the brake dust, recommend Sonax Full Effect. Incredible stuff and brake dust just brushes right off w/o any real labor.
