Coding to enable remote services

Has anyone successfully enabled remote services (6AP)? I would like to be able to remote unlock a F22 w/o tech package.

Considering this is a annual paid service somehow i think BMW would notice you didnt pay for it.

If your car doesn't have the option i doubt it has the sim card installed/ 3G hardware at the very least.

This would only be possible if you have the hardware in the car and they just didn't set the code on. This is the case with enhanced bluetooth. The combox is in the trunk that supports the SOS feature that is now standard has the enhance BT hardware in it. The code is just not set for the enhanced bluetooth. With coding you can change it. I have seen 2 friends do it.

Right but even so you would need to set up the sim card and cellular account. No way bmw is going to do that when you cheaped out on paying for the service in the first place

Its like buying an unlocked iphone without a carrier plan and expecting to JB it for free data. Not gonna happen. Actually that's exactly how it works.

I see your point, but...

My car can already access the SIM/Wireless. I can call SOS. I can click on the BMW Assist and have it connect to BMW and list the available services (which remote unlock is listed.) So it can obviously communicate wirelessly. Does anybody have the remote unlock function working on a M235i?

Mine works fine (at least until I lost my password, need to call in).
