Question Good replacement knob for bmw shoft shift kit???

Ok, I need some opinions and suggestions on what short shift knob I should get to replace the stock shift knob on the bmw short shift kit. I'm planning on getting the ssk from bmw soon, but my dad isn't feeling the shift knob that comes with it, neither am I...it's too small!

I was thinking to either get the short shift knob of the knob I already have (see attachment) or to just get a M weighted short shift knob.

Which shift knob should I get? And what are the pros/cons of the weighted shift knob? Also, aggressive drivers drive the car! hehe

I have the sport shifter in the pic in the OP. I love it. Never tried the weighted one so I can't comment.

I have the OEM short shift knob, and love it. Matches my trim, looks, and feels a whole lot better then the stock one.

Short Shift Kit

Ordered mine today.
At minimum you will need:
25110434219 shift lever- list $96.00
25111220379 spec cirlip list $1.59
25111469397 bushing $ 11.50

You can use any knob including the original. Old boot is fine.

My dealer sells parts to BMWCCA members @ 15% off list so the total was about $90.00 Best cheapest shifter upgrade. Search this site for detailed install notes.

Go to www.leatherz.com for $54 e46 M3 knob.

This SSK is only listed for the '06 E90 330/325. It's not listed for any of the '07+ E9x, so not sure if that one will work on them.

Might want to just check with your local dealer. Sometimes BMW doesn't post all the accessories for every model.
