Recommended Offsets

I need some help for my E92. I am thinking about getting the Works VS-XX with the option of the following...

19 X 8.5
19 X 10

option 1
235 X 35
265 X 35

OR

option 2
245 X 35
285 X 25

Since these rims are custom, what offset is recommended?? Should I go option 1 or 2?

My car is not dropped on anything now and I plan to go with Falken FK452 tires.

I'd go with 9.5 with 265 tires for the rear. 19x10 with 285 on the rear is too wide and your car is going to rub.

I'd go with 35 offset. That's the safest bet for your car.

I run 9.5 rears with 265/30 tires, and a et27 offset would work on my car without rubbing. Currently I have a et30 with that set up, but I have about 3-5mm of room still, thats why I am saying a et27 would be insane looking without rubbing or fender rolling

Yeah you can actually go lower than 35 on the E92. However, because some tires have bigger sidewalls than others, you could have rubbing issues.

Very true Kenny! almost all tires are different even though they say the same "size" on the side wall so it makes it hard to garuntee anything especially when you are running super aggresive offsets where you only have one or two mm to spare!

Exactly! I would love to go with an offset as low as 30, but I want to run Mich's PS2 265, which tend to run big, so they prob would run at an offset as low as 30.

thanks everyone.... I am also debating on 275. So going with a +27 offset sounds good to me right now.

People with et30 and 275 have reported rubbing on the e92.

I wouldnt go with an offset lower than 30 on the E92. Even then you'll have to get tires with small sidewalls to avoid rubbing. This is the reason why I suggested going with 35- it's the safest offset for your car. You could go with 35 and get 5mm spacers to push the wheels out. If it rubs you can simply sell the spacers rather than selling the tires or wheels because you've gone with a low offset.

I am not trying to hijack this thread, but can you tell me if going with an 18X8" (38mm offest) wheel with 225/40's and 12mm spacers will cause me any rubbing issues? This is my current winter set up. I want to bring the rears out a little.

It is an Xi coupe which I plan to lower .75 in the rear. The configurator tells me that the wheels will move 5mm more outward than my stock 8.5" wheel with 255's. What do you think?

i've you want 19x10 at the rear, go with ET35 and 265/30/19 tires and fender rolling.

by the way: Work VS-XX are very nice wheels! good choice!

Thanks, the tire diameter is fine. I am running the same diameter tires on all four corners that come with the sport package on the front.

I just want to know if the offset will be okay with the aforementioned wheels.

It should be just fine with that set up.
