ADVICE PLEASE: BW Chiptune and P&R BMW ? ? ?
Ive got some dpf issues plus my car wont start now and keeps stalling. Also I think i can heard timing chain ticking.
Two names both which seem to be recommended are BW Chiptune and PR BMW. Has anyone got any advice as to whome to go with, is one better for the job at hand, i have no doubt neither are cowboys just I have to choose one and would welcome your thoughts. Thanks |

Have heard decent things of BW and will be using him for my custom remap soon. Can't say I've heard of P&R tbh.. someone else could chime in..

BW Chiptune seem to have a good rep and Jason the owner has been helpful in my dealings re remaps. Though ultimately I went elsewhere that wasn't his fault.

Jason at BW is very good, don't know about the other company you've mentioned, but re your location if your in North or NW London I'm barely 30 mins up the A1 as Sensibles stated on your other topic regarding the faults you have,if it's any help and to be fair I'd like to see what's actually the issue(s)are to see if if anything my hearing matches the fault.

I've known Jason for years and would highly recommend him. He's remapped a few of my cars in the past, but also being an ex-BMW tech knows his stuff when it comes to the nuts and bolts of BMWs as well.

I've met Jason at BW. Very good guy and helpful at the dyno day.
Never heard of the other one. |

Jason mapped my car and his boys who do the spannering changed my main and EGR stats. No issues but make sure you get a quote for the work first and make sure you're happy with the labour hours quoted as, whilst very capable, his boys have a "relaxed" approach to getting stuff done LOL !!
P&R are literally a stones throw (next set of trading units down the road) from BWC but I've no info on what they are like. |
