Where do you guys get TPMS now?

hi everyone, I was just checking on some winter tires on Tire Rack, and I found that they don't have the TPMS. Did they just went out of stock or they don't carry it anymore? So where can I get the TPMS?? Is it possible to get them from the BMW dealership?

Thx

Are you sure? All the other members got them from TR with their wheel orders. Give Gary a call.

We carry OEM BMW TPMS. We use them for all of our wheel sales. Let me know if you are interested and we can set you up with them!

AFAIK all Canadian spec cars use the FTM method, not TPMS. Are your valve stems rubber or metal?

Hm..... I am not too sure, the car won't be here till like 2 weeks from now...i guess I will have to check out the stems when it gets here. Because I thought the change to TPMS for the 2008's.

I offer them for $46 per corner, no problem. I highly doubt that your Canadian model has them though.

I am wondering the same. I have conflicting information. My SA told me that Canada will have to have TPMS sensors in 2009 and that some E9X are starting to arrive in Canada with them on. I am waiting for my VIN in order to confirm this.

Gary, on the TireRack site it says that TPMS sensors cannot be purchased without buying wheels or tire/wheel combo. If not how do we order them (sensors and valve stem of course).

Also one more question. Is there any problem using Nitrogen with TPMS?

No problem using 100% nitrogen with TPMS. Regular air is already over 75% nitrogen...

To purchase them directly, give me a call.

Not to jump on this thread but, do the tire pressure monitors install on the tires or the wheels? I recently had one of my tires changed (not wheel) and am wondering if the tire pressure monitor is still there.

It's still in there. If it wasn't you'd know.

Of course its still there. If it weren't, youd have gotten a TPMS system malfunction

Your car would be bitching about it already.
