Poor MPG 2010 318D manual

I've tried googling and searching but not come up with anything quite matching my situation.

Basically as the thread title says, I'm concerned about my poor MPG.

This is ever since I bought the car - I've had it remapped since and the economy hasn't got any better or worse since and although the car feels a good bit quicker it feels like it's lacking a bit of 'go' some days so it could possibly be down on power although the mapper said it felt fine.

OBC says 33 average with mainly town driving through traffic and a 50 mile motorway round trip or two each week.

I have a heavy right foot but most reports say it should do 40 ish even thrashing it. Any thoughts?

Temps are a couple of degrees low after a long drive but not enough to make much of a difference I don't think?
