Easiest way is to get two SMALL jewlers screwdrivers.
Depress the bottom inside corner of the mirror in as far as it can go, then "pry" open the top lip levering with one driver. Use it to locate the first clip which is about an inch down from the top right where the mirror curves to connect to the car. They are grey pressure clips, you have to press down and in, and put a little tension on the cap to keep it from jsut popping back. Now slide to the outside edge, about a centimeter down from the top corner, there will be another clip to press down into, put pressure on this one and you can yank the part off. It does take a little wiggling and a fair amount of fingertip yanking on the top edge of the piece to get it to pop out. Also, wrap your screwdreivers in electrical tape to prevent any paint scratching. And don't be afraid to really pry the mirror away from the cap to get behind it, it goes way further than you think. |
