Battery Maintenance

Hi all,

Just curious, if i were to unplug my battery for a few days to trickle charge it... is it just a plug-n-play back in? Or might i have any ECU issues afterwards? Reprograming?

Spoke to a BMW tech & advised me not to do it altogether.

You may lose some settings.

But there is no reason to unplug it to put on a trickle charger. Just connect to the terminals in the engine compartment.

Wasn't sure if i should trickle charge it while it was plugged in. I supposed I'll give that a try... safer i suppose! Thanks for the response.
