quad exhaust tips

I'm running dinan exhaust and i'm thinking of getting custom dual exhaust tips for a quad look. anything that i may need to consider or should it be as easy as going to a custom exhaust shop picking tips and having them welded on?

This. Although I'd source some quality ones online. Any exhaust tip a muffler shop has in stock is likely going to be garbage. Cyba seems to be all the rage in the BMW crowd.

Eisenmann's exhaust has this and looks good. Don't think there is modification to diffuser either. Check out how they do theirs and try to copy it.

Awesome thanks for the feedback. I'll start checking out Cyba.

I'm wondering how difficult cutting the diffuser will be.

There is an Estoril Blue if you google "eisenmann m235i" that has this. Hard to tell if diffuser was actually cut though.

Cutting the diffuser will never look right, regardless of who does it or how it's done. It is impossible to get a finished edge as if it was manufactured that way.

This is why I'm still waiting on exhaust mods. The only exhaust I would consider would be quad-tipped, and I'm forced to hold out until there are more quality diffusers designed for the car to accept quads. Can't speak for the 235i offerings since I haven't looked, but the only one available for the F32 is the 3D Design which is $1800. Proper, high quality stuff...but I don't want it that bad.

I'm thinking of buying a second stock diffuser to do see how it comes out after cutting it. I'm thinking a good body shop will cut it, heat it and smooth it out. Then I'll wrap it. Most likely you wont see rough edges.

only issue there is whether the wrap will handle the heat properly.

Eisenmann def cut their diffuser, look at the pics of their 2x76 vs the 4x76

http://www.eisenmann-sportauspuff.de..._Eisenmann.php

I wouldn't wrap the diffuser though, just paint it. I paid $200 to have the M Performance diffuser painted and it'll look better and handle the temps better than a wrap

The AC Schnitzer package also has a quad exhaust tip option. Unlike the Eisenmann, AC offers a matching CF rear valence as well. Bet it costs a pretty penny!

I like to carbon wrap. Do you have any issues with it from the exhaust soot?

My diffuser is wrapped as well, so far no heat problems and nice and peelable for a lease. Now you have me thinking about that quad setup tho
