Adaptive Suspension

Perhaps I missed it somewhere, but is there any word on the suspension for the M2? Personally I prefer a non-adaptive suspension, and recently found out that the M3 actually comes standard with a non-adaptive suspension (I honestly thought it came standard with adaptive), which had me excited and hopefully thinking that the M2 will come the same way.

However with the M235i coming standard with the adaptive set up I am obviously not sure and was wondering if I had somehow missed if any info had leaked on the standard suspension set up for the M2?

Same here I hope they offer a firm fixed suspension like 1M! Part of what turned me off to 235i was forced EDC and idrive with screen and soft suspension. Here is to hoping!

I suspect that in order to keep the entry price down, it will come fixed as standard and adaptive as an option, like the 3/4. That should satisfy everyone.

And also I hope the 6MT for this car will not have rev-matching. Personally not a fan of that system either.

Me either. Does the 235 or the M3/4 have that? I drove a Nissan 370 with it, and as an experienced manual driver, I found it annoying.

BMW PLEASE READ THIS:
If you put rev-matching in the M2, you MUST make it so the driver can turn it off in settings!! Otherwise you will ruin the driving experience for manual drivers who like rev-matching on our own.

Yeah I find it very annoying too. I would much rather do it on my own.

+1

The M235 is much too squishy.

I am hoping for something more firm as well...

Have we received confirmation yet on the suspension(s) being offered on the M2?

The M2 base version is getting the M4 rear suspension:

http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showp...8&postcount=15
http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showp...&postcount=649

If any additional suspension adjustability is offered, it will be reserved for the M2 CSL or next gen M2. None of that for the M2 base version (except if BMW changed its mind in the meantime).

The M3/4 has adaptive as standard, or at least in the UK it does, so I can't see them leaving it off the M2 altogether

I hope there's an option for this.... No way I'm getting a car like this without adaptive suspension in NYC. I'm still trying to wrap around the logic of getting an M car driving around NYC

Neither the M235i nor the F8x comes standard with adaptive M suspension from BMW Germany. Some countries local importers add their own standard equipment though so it is a pretty high chance that those countries also will add it to the M2.

For $400 Dinan Shockware seems to solve any soft suspension problems the car has from the factory. It is a fairly inexpensive mod to make the car what it is suppose to be and you get to keep the warranty in tact as well.
