Don't know, I'm not looking at mine while braking. Sorry!

And to be fair, no CCBs are stock, they are all optioned.

:

Among car buffs, "stock" generally means a car that hasn't been modified from the way it was purchased from the factory.

If someone asked me if my car was stock, I wouldn't tell them, "No, I optioned leather, premium sound, and a sunroof."

Can someone please tell me why people with 80k cars don't know the difference between "breaking", and braking?

Can someone please tell me why, if I am spending 8k on a set of stupid brakes, why BMW can't make them glow under moderate braking?

Even a set of steel discs will glow when heated up enough.
To get ccb 's that hot on the road would be difficult and you would be operating at some illegal speeds.
On track yes braking will cause the glow

I have no experience to back me up, but would think that the CCB's would just make a lot of noise when broken vigorously.

That's true. And they didn't break. Of course for the price the CCBs better not break.

Tried to find that vid. Anyone have a link?

Hmm.. I'm thinking of mounting orange LED's to illuminate the rotors when I hit the breaks. So it looks like they are glowing every time I stop.

There are warning lights that come on the dash if various functions break. I think there is a notice in iDrive for when the brake pads need replacing. I don't there is anything unique to the CCB system.

If you throw water on your rotors after driving hard it will help
