I run 18x8.5 35 et with 15 mm spacers which is the same as running a 20 offset along with 235/40 square set up with no issues, so you shouldn't have a problem running a 35 offset.

I run 235/40/18 on 18x9.5 ET 35 Apex Arc-8 stock xdrive suspension. I run a 5 mm spacer up front (so final ET 30 up front - probably only need a 3 mm) because the wheel shop that balanced the wheels put a clip weight on the inside rim which without a spacer hits my strut. They will fit with about 3 mm clearance if that wasn't there (tried another wheel that didn't have it and it fit).

I went with this size because I plan on lowering a bit. If I didn't lower, I bet a 245/40/18 would fit, but probably not michelin pss as they run wide. The rubbing would be when you turn, they would probably hit the fender liner.

I had the same dilemma when I was thinking of purchasing tires.

Hope that helps

Scott
