Seems like a clog/kink somewhere in the lines. Also, was the coolant properly cleared of air bubbles? You activate the pump with the engine off using a certain pedal sequence, not by running the engine with the cap open like you do with mechanical pumps.

You might want to check that the tech did the proper coolant system purge protocol, which can be done without a factory tool. I'm sure you can find the process here on the forum.

These are all great ideas, thank you! I just emailed the shop to have them check all of these things out. The OFHG might very well be the cause if it is not a failed thermostat.
I noticed that when I picked the car up from the shop after the pump was changed that the OCI had dropped from 7000 to 2500 miles which I thought was strange but I also thought that the shop had calculated this change. I believe that the car sensed something was jacked with the fluid. Hopefully I'll hear back soon from the shop and can report on whats going on. |

Heard back from the mechanic. Was informed that the DME was melted. Hoping that replacing it will solve all of the issues.

Just an update. DME was melted so now the engine has to be pulled to figure out what is going on with the engine harness that caused the short

My car is a 12/2007 build. I am hoping this shop figures things out quick. I am getting a new DME and engine harness so hopefully that fixes things...
