Hi all -- the trunk on my '15 320i will only open with the rear button above the license plate only if ALL the doors are unlocked. Seems like it defeats the purpose for me to pull out my key fob to unlock the doors for this to work. Might as well just open the trunk from the key fob while I'm at it. Is there a setting this can be changed? Also, I don't have the comfort access package, if that makes a difference.

That's the thing. The only way to open the trunk from the trunk release on it is to either unlock all doors OR if you had Comfort Access, as it would detect whether you had the key on you at the rear of the vehicle.

Though I vaguely remember on the NBT systems you can choose the function of the Trunk Unlock in the Door Lock/Lighting Settings.

Ah was afraid of that! I checked and double checked in the settings but couldn't find that option anywhere. Oh well
