Wagner intercooler options (Performance vs Competition)
Hey my friends, I've been reading about intercooler options from Wagner, there are two versions and the only difference I see between the "perfomance" and the "competition" is the weight (19.40lbs vs 14.55lbs) , the rest is the same (size, pressure drop, charge air volume) and its connection claims to be OEM plug and play.
So, if you were to buy this product, which one would you choose between these two? In addition, does someone know what materials Wagner use on the "competition" version? I ask since both intercoolers have the same size so I'm concluding that the competition version is made from some lightweight material. Thanks for the feedback guys |

Where are you from?
The competition fmic is tube and fin design, the performance is bar and plate. The tube and fin is lighter, it cools the iat a bit less however it cools better on the long run. The other one has more initial resistance to heat but once heated up it takes longer to cool down. I have the competition fmic on the car. |

If you mostly do short pulls on public roads i guess the performance version is the one you want!
