E92 335D Brakes

Guys

Whats the difference between standard 335d front brakes and the BMW Performance Brakes? I am either after painting mine to look like performance ones, but if there is a big difference i may try and purchase some. Are they a straight swap also?

Thanks
Simon

I dont recall them making perfomance upgrade for the i or d only upgrade i know of is the 135 performance callipers and they have 8pot front and 2 pot rear but they are not alot better than standard 335 set up.

if i were you i would upgrade the discs to M3 CSL 2 part discs and pads to DS2500 pads thats the set up i run and there excellent

If you're thinking of painting your brakes, have a look at my wheels thread from the other day, towards the bottom of the page - I've done mine in blue with the hubs in black. Not as awesome as actual performance brakes, but definitely cheaper if all you're really after is the look, as I was:

in that case you will need 335 single or 535 2 pot front callipers

the discs for the 335/ M3 csl are 20mm bigger than the 330
