Any chance of doing the back of the rear headrests as well? Since they can be seen from outside the car, I think the black plastic pieces look cheap there, particularly with the Silverstone interior.

Might as well do the rear center console as well which sits in between the foot wells as I think the plastic used there looks quite cheap.

That would be absurd taken the price of the full BMW performance seats go for less than $6k a pair and 3rd party full racing buckets for less than a grand. $3200 for seat backs? Insane.

It's not about what they are worth, it's about how much you can get people to pay.

If people are willing to pay for those jewels and it gives BMW more profit money to develop better performance cars, I am all for it

fine and dandy until they roll it into a package and you get to pay for it regardless. imagine carbon fiber seat backs that save 3 pounds each added to the competition package at a $3000 premium.

If that I'd say, the current seat backs cannot weigh very much as they are.
The carbon back would probably suit more as a bling factor. I'm not judging because even I think it would like great from the rear sitting perspective.

Looking into it, making sure it doesn't interfere with anything (ie: active headrests in E9X)
