Why is there so many acronyms used on this site , half of them I don't know?

Speaking in acronyms is pretty cool, but what's even cooler is referring to various option packages, features, or colors by their respective manufacturing code. When you see that, you know they're a true enthusiast.

My f30 n55 EBii with mpe, m403's, bms stage 1, and an afe magnum is running better then the mpk but not as good if it had a jb4 with ewg and dp. You can't give an iou to ups for a c.o.d.

ED (not the one that requires the little EBII pill) is European Delivery



We should all just start spewing every acronym we can come up with. In all seriousness, I find learning all of the little acronyms that go with specific boards a daunting process. Was recently over at FlyerTalk for some Delta questions and it was like they were speaking a different language. When I'm in my BMW safe zone it just makes skimming the boards that much easier.

At the risk of being thought a pedant, most of the examples quoted in this thread are initials not acronyms. Sonar, radar, NATO are good are ?ood acronyms, but how would you turn EBII into a pronounceable word?
