F32 M sport painted front reflectors the same as F8x, but $25 cheaper.
http://ind-distribution.com/ind/cate...ont-reflectors
http://ind-distribution.com/ind/cate...ont-reflectors are the same fitment. can anyone confirm 100% that this is true? I have read one comment that they are identical. regardless, $110 and even $85 is highway robbery for a part like this. Soon, Chinese manufacturers will come and commoditize and drive prices down on parts like these to $29. |

I gambled and bought the F30 Msport reflectors for my F80 since they looked identical. I can confirm they are an exact match

Like Nate said, they're different part numbers... why would anyone expect them to be the same fit?

You can see the fit here on my dirty car: View post on imgur.com View post on imgur.com These are the IND F30 Msport reflectors on my F80. Not sure if the M4 could use F32 Msport since I don't have an M4 handy The color match isn't that great, but from what I understand MW is just difficult to match. Good enough for me.

F32 M-Sport F82 by j, on Flickr
I'm not sure which is which but these are F32 M-Sport vs F82 front reflectors. The reflector shape alone is VERY similar but I can't say they're exactly the same. They aren't the same. If I had to guess, the smaller of the two are the F32 and installing them on an M4 will leave a small gap on each side vertically. Conversely, trying to install the M4 reflectors on the F32 M-Sport bumper may be too big and not fit in the cutout. So to save $25, yea the F32 may work but for the best fit, order the proper F82 reflectors. YMMV Hmm, do I get out the micrometer? edit: left side F32, right side M4 Last edited by G30 B58; 10-29-2014 at 08:39 PM.. |

Or does the orange reflector actually measure a different size? |

I'll get out the micrometer this weekend. I have no idea how the backside of the bumper looks and if the gray backing plate sits in a groove behind the bumper? |

As suggested by a few members and the BMW part numbers, the F32 and F8X reflectors are indeed different. Yes, the sizing is very close, albeit not identical. IND began painting reflectors about 6 years ago when our clients were reporting fitment and finish issues from a company using an aftermarket mold (overseas manufacturing). At that point in time we decided to offer this service, but only if fitment was 100%, not 90%, but 100% on point with factory.
Below are some measurements taken from both the F32 and F8X reflector. I should also mention that there is a difference in the curvature of the reflectors, but this is hard to capture in photos. Looking at the photos of the F30 reflector posted by another member in this thread you can see that there is a noticeable depression at the top corner of the reflector. The differences in thickness and width between the two reflectors will result in a slightly larger gap than vehicle appropriate reflector. We understand that there is a price difference associated with the two reflectors and assure members it is simply a more expensive core price. We are always looking out for Bimmerpost members and a recent example of this is the F32 performance front grill surround. We were the first to report the cross compatibility between the F32 surround and the F8X surround. As a result, we saved Bimmerpost members a couple hundred dollars. If we were able to sell the F3X reflectors and the fitment was 100%, we would have this as an option. Unfortunately, this is not the case. If anyone has any further questions please don't hesitate to contact us directly. F32/F8X M3/4. Left/Right, respectively. F8X M3/M4 reflectors: F32 M sport front reflectors:
