Insurance on F36, price increase crazy!
So I was quoting my F36 with geico and the insurance companies dont have 2015 models rated as of yet. So the quotes were coming out to 5-700 more than the current 2013 C250 I have insured as of right now.
Just wondering for those of you that are already in possession of their cars and have insurance, what did you experience as far as pricing? |

California, 23 years old, clean record. Going from a 2011 Honda Civic to a 2015 4 Series Gran Coupe is only $400 more a year. Full coverage, towing, rental and all.
My yearly total will be $1400 so $700 per 6 months. |

Well the F30 is about $400 cheaper than a CLS 63 per year. I pay about $800/year on the F30 for full coverage. Expensive due to that one accident I had back in 2012 I think it was

My monthly insurance increased by $10 to $97. No tickets, I pay every 6 months about $400. I bought extra coverage in case something awful happens during daily commute **knock on wood**

Haven't even purchased my 435 yet, called insurance for a quote to see what the increase would be. It'd go up by about $40/month from my current truck. I'd be saving more than that in gas though so non-issue as far as I'm concerned. It's the finance payment that's actually going to increase my monthly costs by a few hundred $.

I had a 2010 Audi A6 that had a 6-month premium of $1246. Then when I got the 2014 335i, it increased to $1250 every 6-months.
So so the difference was $8 a year more, and my annual cost is currently $2500...

You guys need to know that insurance premiums differ from state to state. Even zip codes in the same state or city. Just because your friend or neighbor pays more or less than you, doesn't mean it'll be the same. Lots of different factors. Amount of miles driven in a year, driving experience, driving record, multi policy discount, multi car discount, many other discounts that one qualifies for that other people don't (ie alumni discount, good student, etc), type of vehicle, gender, coverages, etc. the list goes on. Don't assume that someone's insurance is better than yours or yours is better. Unless every factor is completely identical, insurance premiums will not be the same, more or less. I should know. I'm an Insurance Business Manager. I hate it when someone says that their friend's/neighbor's insurance is cheaper and complain about it. Everyone's premium is different unless (as specified above) all factors are exactly the same. I work for AAA (Auto Club of Southern California). Want a quote? I'll try to get you the best premium. PM me.

35 y/o, 1 speeding ticket, about 850/yr with AAA and $250 deductible. It's surprisingly a tad cheaper to insure my 435i than it was my old e92 328xi, which had a $1,000 deductible.

I am 30, totally clean record. When I got my F36, my premium initially only increased about $50 from my VW CC. Geico then reassessed me based on an updated consumer report and identified the car as living in downtown Boston, so my premium jumped 40% to around $1,350 annually. I can't legitimately support changing my garaging to the prior location... So now, despite having a weekend car in a private garage, I get to insure every car that parks on the street or pinballs down Beacon Hill... SMH
