Question F32 A/C automatically on when car stars?

Hey guys, had a general question I wasn't able to resolve through searching, reading through the owners manual or plain testing.

So whenever I turn on the vehicle, the A/C seems to start up as well. Is there some way to turn off this feature so that the car doesn't constantly turn on the A/C whenever I start it up?

Please excuse me if I foolishly overlooked something. Cheers!

Are you using the same key each time? If so, try it with the other one, as I think it might be related with your last setting using that key. But having said that, if you have turned it off and left the car and tried it again and still comes on, my thinking is wrong ;(

There is no way to disable this, it is a feature. BMW has the car do this too purge any condensation in the HVAC system. You can let it run for a few minutes to do what it is intended to do and then shut it off.

Actually, yes, it can be coded out.

Mine does it too, but if it keeps mildew out of the HVAC it's worth it. My E92's HVAC stank after a year.

ah crap, was a bit of a bother to be greeted by the A/C every time i started the vehicle but its purpose seems rather useful so i may just keep it for now and keep coding it out an option for the future.

thank you, everyone, for your responses! i appreciate it
