there are lots of threads about it...
in my opinion:

JB4 - more power, cheaper, no warranty
Dinan - less power, quite more expensive, matches bmw warranty

Agree with this but maybe we should stay tuned? Hoping Dinan will come out with new releases with more power. If they do, I am assuming they will be available for free or for a nominal fee?

Editing my post since just saw announcement of free upgrade from Dinan, but wondering if anyone knows if Dinan has announced an intent to develop a Stage II?

Yes, a Dinan Stage 2 is coming.

The upgrades are not 'free', you pay the difference between what you've originally paid and the new cost.

Also check out this review http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthr...1008125&page=8

The engine tuning forums have a lot of existing Dinan discussion, you should read through that.

I have used both Dinan Stage 1 and Piggyback Stage 1 systems (BMS and aFe) in my M235i. You will feel a performance upgrade with both. Just a question how much you want to spend and how my warranty protection you are concerned about. Right now, BMS JB4 offers the highest boosted output while Dinan is an install and forget it system with a matching factory warranty. Choose based on your needs.

This reply sums it up.
Other pros for Jb4 would be that since it is more popular there is a lot more forum support for it (from forum users)
and they always have new upgrades and features added for FREE

Hey I have a 228 with the jb4 stage one. I know you have a 235 but I was wondering if you could tell me how the jb4 and aFe compare? Does one give more power? One smoother than another? I have a feeling they are probably similar but have never seen a comparison.
