Exactly my thoughts. I was excited for all pieces, until I learned the sides and front weren't CF. I'm guessing it's for the people that can't drive low cars. Would be too expensive for them smashing up lips.

BMW did this because they are expecting for people to drive these cars the way they are meant to be driven. I think the front lip design is genius. Scruff it up? no worries, remove those tap in clips get a new cover and ur ready to go with a brand new front end prob around 200 or less. Its genius, trust me. The vorsteiner front lip on my e92 m3 lasted about 3 weeks b4 i had to buy a new one (went rep) Its just not worth it.

I just had a RKP lip land today from Germany. Will be on the iND M3 for SEMA I will have installed shots shortly. There will be two options on the new carbon lips. One will work directly with the upper carbon splitters and the other option can be installed without running the upper splitters.

I love carbon fiber more than the next guy but don't you guys think that front lips tend to take the most abuse? I'd hate to buy this for a grand and then have to be replacing it every month.

Yeah, I've scraped my front lip where there is no way I'd put CF there - it'd last a few days at most on my car.
(but I'm lowered on H&Rs) |
