Which is why I ignore my oil warning until it stays on solid for at least 3 days. With a 7q full amount, being down 1q for 3 days isn't going to do significant damage, IMHO

The sensor told you it lost 4 quarts? Mine will go from showing mostly full to a warning for as little as a 1/2 quart if I'm idling on a decline. I can't imagine it would wait for that much loss before triggering.

Oookay, so you are reading the oil level wrong. It only reports on the amount of the remaining 7th quart. The graph you see is not a measure of the entire quantity of 7 quarts of oil. You may have too much oil in the engine now.

I recently did an oil change and getting a reading after was super frustrating. BMW in all of its infinite software wisdom felt the need to override everything on the dash with a low tire pressure alert. Well, all 4 of my TPMS sensors are bad so I get the alert every 2 seconds even if I cancel it which makes it impossible to get a oil reading because it takes so long. You would think that the oil level would be way more important then any other reading and another alert can't just cancel it.

Anyone know how to disable TPMS all together?
