The parts manager for my local BMW dealership contacted me about a Winter Wheel & Tire Sale for the F80 M3/M4. It's an 18" staggered wheel setup (513M) utilizing Continental T800 snow tires for $590 per wheel.
Check with your parts department! Corrected.. ðÂÂÂ

531M? What do they look like? Are you sure it wasn't the 513M (stock 18" wheel)? If not, what are the wheel widths and offsets? And what is the tire width and aspect?
Either way that sounds like a pretty reasonable price. |

That might be for the 640M wheels.

That would be great....I don't see those tires listed in sizes for our cars by either Tire Rack or Continental......maybe it's a version for BMW?
I'm going to check it out for sure |

Have any of you found this deal offered at other dealers? I called 2 in my area and they could only give me a price of $2720 for the 640M winter wheel package. Both guys told me that $590 per wheel would be roughly $5 above cost per wheel for the less expensive 640M wheels. This would be a sick deal if I could find it.

Here's a link to the 640M wheels...the offset in the rear looks like it will narrow the track significantly. I'd be more inclined to go with the 513M set-up with the 255 front and 265 rear. You can't rotate but it would be nice to have a full factory set w/the wider rear to re-sell when the time comes!

437M silver 19" 437M black 19" 513M silver 18" 640M winter 18" 641M winter 19". What you mentioned implies they took the forged 513M 18" wheels, mounted winter tires, and sold at a price that is significantly less than the 640M 18" winter setup. So which did you order? |

I did an 18" setup using the 513M wheels with Continental Snow Tires. The low price is why I ordered it! Once I get the package I will post pictures.
I'm still a little leery about an early snowstorm so I may mount a set of AS3's on my current setup just so I can make it home.

are those conti tires winter performance tires or winter-winter tires?
i'm not sure if i want to go pure snow performance or just something that will be good in cold, dry weather and in a bit of snow. |

I wonder if you can obtain the breakdown in pricing for the tires and wheels independently? As someone pointed out, those tires aren't listed at tire rack or anywhere else I can find for that matter. And as for the 513M wheels, I havent seen those available online yet either. It would be nice to know prices. Assuming the tires are about $900 total that would mean you got the wheels for $1500 total which seems like a really low price for a brand new set. Great deal. Offsets are posted in the sticky in this forum. As discussed in the other winter wheel/tire thread, the OEM winter setups do not narrow the track width. I prefer OEM summer wheels for my winter setup myself, but for those who want to go non-staggered, no reason to avoid the 640M. |

If everyone calls multiple dealers like I did and asks for prices for a set of 513M wheels with no TPMS, no tires, you'll all find a price that is nearly double the $1500 for wheels that OP stated he paid. Below cost. Dealer lost money. Unfortunately there's no sale or special running until November. 513M wheels sold off forum member's cars are selling for between $1500-$2000 with no TPMS, no tires... add $250 minimum for tpms, $1,000 for tires, $100 for setup and mounting and you're looking at $2850-$3350 for a winter setup with a deep discount from retail for USED take-off 513's. This thread cost me about an hour on the phone today. Total waste of my time. |
