blower motor dead
just wanted to share, I have a 2012 model 3 series with a bad blower at 32,000 miles. Awesome right? Way to go BMW... I mean I get it fixed but COME ON MAN!

That's why they give you a warranty. It sucks, but mass produced parts have a certain percentage of failure rates.

This is not uncommon; there have been blower motor issues since the E46 models. The most frequent problem is a squealing/squeaking noise that is related to bad bearings in the motor/fan assembly. Others include a fluctuating fan speed and complete failure of the motor. As the previous poster says, it's the luck of the draw with mass-produced parts. BMW is no more immune from outsourced part problems than any other manufacturer.

At least the BMW engineers did make the F30 HVAC blower motor serviceable, it can be accessed from under/behind the glove compartment(it is next to microfilter), no need for dash tear down!
