Smog shops that don't use sniffer
So I know there is a new law that says smog shops don't need to use the sniffer test anymore it is just obd2 however I am thinking of going catless here soon and i'm wondering if anyone knows of any shops that have adapted this no sniffer test yet because my car is 2009 and will need to be smogged next year. If anyone knows a shop that only does the obd2 that would be great because I can just use the dp fix and everything will pass. I'm in santa barbara if anyone knows of anything in socal please let me know I need to justify to myself to go FBO lol

when I had my car smogged about a year ago due to change of ownership they didnt do an inspection under the car, they only looked in the engine bay to see if there were any illegal intakes does the place near you put it on a lift?

Unless you know a tech who is chill. You'd be surprised how many of these guys actually smogged their cars with "CEL fixes" attached. I called about thirty shops in the SF Bay Area before finding one with a non-sniffer machine. Earlier on this year only a few choice shops had them around here, basically chosen by the state for beta testing, if you will. I took my VW in with the stock intake to prevent any unwanted attention that may of led them to my downpipe. |

Well my intake is stock with a K&N filter and charcoal delete. I was actually talking about the headers.

What about just having secondary cat and resonator delete? Has anyone here ever been caught on that? Do they actually look for that specifically on our cars?
