Who's cars have come with ASS (Auto Start Stop) defaulting Off or last state?

will the dealership code this for me without charge? Also, is there a code for the Auto Setting for the wipers to default ON?

Mine is always off for some reason. Dealer said I had to have them turn it off, but it's been off since the first day

I read in one thread that the 2014 models have the ASS remember last state. If you turn ASS off, turn off the car and start it again it should remain off. My 2014 F32 does this. But then seeing as you have a 2015 4GC and it doesnt stay off? Maybe what I read was wrong.

The default since 2014 is last-state for ASS. Except when you switch to eco-mode ASS will always reactivate.

Wipers are off by default so they don't come on during car washes.

Mine remembers the last state it was in when I got it. I coded it to always be OFF though.

No way to code the auto wipers for now. I was looking for the same thing while I was coding my car.

I think you did read right, it is probably because of my region. Just like I don't get headlight washers, even though I have Xenon Headlights?

Yeah mine must be region specific, because I always leave it in comfort mode with it off, and the still have to turn it off on restart.

Going to ask dealership to program.

Did the coding cost you anything?

Maybe they figured Jamaica is so damn hot you'd always have the a/c running so ASS wouldn't do anything

I did all the coding myself. Just had to pay a very small fee for the token.

Last state in US Spec 2014 MY F30.

EDIT: It seems like a lot of your questions are coding based. It may be worth it to take the time to learn how to code to get many of the features you'd like. I've never tried coding personally but there's a lot of info on the message boards and it seems to be mostly dummy proof as there's tools out there that can restore the car to default settings. It may be cheaper than having the dealer make all of the changes.

I would love to know what I would need to Purchase or Acquire in order to Program the F36. (Equipment, Software, Etc.)

I know that you need some sort of Cable, Laptop, and Software, but specifics I have no idea of.

I am sort of computer geek so programming the car shouldn't be too bad.

My F36 GC, the A.S.S. is coded to always be off unless I turn it on, and when I restart the car it remembers the last state.

There's pretty detailed instructions floating around the sub-forum that covers coding.
