Would love one of these

I'm no longer in the market for a new car, but I still like to mess around on the BYO tool. This 328 wagon would be awesome.

This looks great, and other than keeping black clean street parking in the city, I absolutely love JB on my current E90. My F31 will be here in about 6 weeks. MG/CR combo, M-sport with everything here except for DA plus, alarm, shades, and concierge. It was between that, the Q5, and the A7, but in the end, the answer is always wagon.

The wagons are very expensive - I was considering a new car and looking at the tourings when I realized that the X1 was like $5K-$10K cheaper for basically the same thing. Comes without the heavy sunroof, too. Also you can get the N55...

But the wagon is newer, more tech, more better handling, etc. and they all come with essentially the sport package (and tranny). Love the proportions. But my wife didn't want a wagon so we have another boring sedan.

I almost threw up at the thought of paying $62k for a 328i.

They look great for sure but the wagons are so expensive, ESPECIALLY if you go the 328d route.

I recently drove a 2014 328i sedan and it felt much more solid than the 2012 I drove back when it came out. I was very impressed, though not enough to consider a 4-cylinder engine. That said, if I was to pick a $60k four-banger, it'd be this one.

My brother owns a 2014 328i sedan so I'm aware of how they drive although I've never driven a 2012. Still not worth $62k, his was about $20k cheaper since it's not the sport wagon.

I had a 2014 328d Sport Wagon as a loaner once. It had leather and navi/back up camera. It stickered for $55k...

My F30 335i stickered for $62k and I feel like you get a lot more from a 335i sedan than a comparably priced 328i Sport Wagon.

In my mind, wagon = kids so no oyster interior. I love wagons as much as the OP. My all time favorite is still the '99 & '00 Volvo V70R, 250hp, 5cyl turbo, awd. However, $62K is a hard pill to swallow considering what else is available at that same price range. Apples to oranges but I pay less (monthly lease & sticker price) for my '12 MB ML350 w/ a turbo diesel V6. It may not be as fun to drive, 1 full second slower to 60mph, and about 1,300lbs heavier, but has similar hp & 455 lb/ft of torque. Again, apples to oranges, but depending on your planned usage for the vehicle, I couldn't justify the price tag. A 335, 4 coupe, 4GC, or even an F10, now there's a different story.

I'd definitely be willing to pay for it as I spec'd it if it was the car I wanted. Obviously I wish I could order a 335i wagon, but I still wouldn't omit anything off the order sheet (maybe the leather dash, but I got it on the Macan because I'm sick of the gummy plastic everywhere).

I always love the look of wagons. Wagon > sedan

^ That being said, I'm not entirely convinced I'd pay the premium of the wagon over sedan. I leave it up to others to do the wagon-modding haha

I would kill for a 335 wagon here in the states. Unfortunately, the wagon market is slim. The Volvo is too small, the Merc is too big, and although we entertained the crossover segment by looking at the Q5/SQ5, it's still a (subjectively) ugly crossover at the end of the day - until we have a greater need (more kids), we just aren't SUV people. It's a great driver, but I don't like riding high on the road, mostly just use it to commute to work, and with just our dog and 3 month old, it was a little too big for what we needed. The used options weren't terrible (i.e., Jetta, Avant, E90), but we couldn't find just the right package after months of looking, so decided on a custom build.

We did order the leather dashboard though. Will be a nice change of pace. It's definitely a pricey car for what you get. Fwiw, our invoice was $55 and change.

I'll miss my NA I6.

But it doesnt even have the M sport package on it. I guess it doesnt matter to some because it has sports line but man 62K??! Ridiculous pricing...you can get an M3 or M4 for a little more. Still a very nice car indeed but waaay over priced.

If the 435GC came out at the same time when I ordered my F31, that would have been my choice. But, as it stands, my 335i Touring was cheaper and just as fast as the GC. There are comparatively few 335i Touring and ones with the 6MT are even rarer, apparently.
