Should be able to simply connect a DVD recorder to the sky box via scart, play the recording on the sky plus box and record the output onto DVD.

I think that is the only way, even if you plug the hard disk directly into a computer it won't recognise the drive format.

You could buy a TV input device for your PC (http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/tvonyourp...FQ6ZQwoddAv5Wg) connect Sky plus, play the recording and rip it straight to hard disk.

Much easier to use a recordable DVD player though.

I used to rip our camcorder stuff to PC, but now I just play it through the DVD recorder and stick it straight onto DVD. You can always back that DVD up onto PC afterward anyway.

As far as I know, the only way is to record the output as stated above. Sky+ and HD record the show in its original stream, not in a usable format such as DivX, MPG2, unlike some other devices.

So, no easy way.

The planner actually has a "Copy" function which basically queues everything up for the DVD recorder so you can leave it buring overnight if need be.
