In DTC however our brakes are not the best That is all.
Actually the more I think about that little jaunt against the cla45 my car is dangerous at higher speeds. Anyone have opinions or options on better brakes? |

Factory brakes seem amazing to me, at almost any speed (Most i've taken it up to is a hair past 165 mph [GPS]). Then again, my last daily driver was a LSx 6.0 swapped Chevelle on 60s Camaro Front Discs/Rear Drums.
Get some good ceramic pads and rotors if you don't already have them, if that's not enough... look into a StopTech upgrade.

Also, Mods List? Stock for Stock, same quarter mile times - with the AMG leading the trap. But I'd imagine everyone on this forum at least has a tune or plans on getting one soon.

I know we have the best 60-0 brake time somewhere around 109ft, but we must of been going faster than that. A light turned red and it was time to stop. The CLA45 did it quite well, but I had to roll around the corner or end up in the middle of the intersection. Are the CLA45's rocking Brembo brake setups? I had to brake so hard there is now a groove where the pads bite into the front rotors. The rears seem good still. I will post a pic later. Also the weirdest smell came from the car after that. So basically time to upgrade at least the front setup. Any suggestion on that would be great. I'll look into those ceramics and stop tech. Last edited by Whateva; 10-04-2014 at 01:34 PM.. |

Weird. I've repeatedly slammed my brakes from 150-160 at the racing events, and never had any issues or brake fade. I do have upgraded drilled and slotted rotors, but thats about it. Maybe your pads are old or oily? U should check them out

See if you can tell from these pics. So far from what I've read it seems OEM is the best for street setup and makes the least amount of noise. I can deal with the brake dust I just need those biatchs to bite when it's time to stop.
