VTT M3/4 turbocharger upgrade coming soon!

We are happy to announce BMW finally got its act together, and delivered us two brand new M3/4 turbochargers yesterday. We wasted no time in getting them apart and seeing exactly what they have going on...

What we found was a couple of turbochargers with a LOT of room for improvement, we will not be releasing any details on the turbos, wheel sizes, etc. As we are one of the first, if not the first tackling a turbo upgrade for these cars. But we can tell you, these will benefit greatly from some changes, they are not MHI turbos, and will be a little more challenging to upgrade then the N54.

We will be building one set to test, the most obvious choice was Terry@BMS but he wants to keep his car stock for CARB testing, so we are looking for someone who is willing to upgrade to the JB, and work closely with Terry to get the car tuned. Someone local to him would be even better.

This upgrade will be 100% INVISIBLE, the dealership will NOT be able to tell anything has been done to the turbos, everything will remain perfectly stock looking from the outside. The car will also drive normally as if stock turbos were in place when not tuned. This ensures no loss of warranty.

If you are interested, please contact us at Sales@vargasturbo.com and we can discuss details. We are excited to be are the forefront of the new M series development.

I attached a few pictures of the turbos. They flew United Airlines directly from Germany to SFO to come hang out with us, our dealer told us we were earmarked for the first set coming out of the factory....

Also just a heads up, this would require zero downtime. This is why we invested to money to buy a brand new set, and build from them. Turbos will be ready to go before yours come out.

Wow! Can't wait to see how this turns out. Not sure how I feel about plastic wastegates but I'm sure whatever Tony's got up his sleeve for these things is going to be ridiculous.

There were issues at the 540 whp level that Terry experienced on the stockers... have those been resolved yet? There was a fueling issue that until resolved, I don't see what these can do unless you are working on bottom end power.

When you are first to do something on a platform with a heavy aftermarket interest, releasing information does little except give your competitors a head ups on what they need to do on their own upgrades. We invested a lot of money just to get a new set of these, we wont be giving away information for others to follow in our footsteps, they can invest the money if they want to see what what the wheels are etc.
