New 430d
Finally took delivery of my 430d MSport today after three months wait and three years in a 520d MSport.
My word it feels quick, agile, and competent. What a machine. |

Congrats!!! Looking forward to pics! I'm sure it feels quite a bit more agile when compared to the 5-series luxury saloon

Completely thrilled with the 3.0d Engine, and delighted with the sound and smoothness of this unit. Before my 520d M-Sport I had 1, E90 325 and 1, E92 325 and loved their engines which were red lined regularly. Switching to the Diesel in the 5 was a bold move for me and in the most part it was great. Whilst around town and on start up it could be harsh this I6 unit is simply fantastic. The US is definitely missing out here.
High points so far are. Quietness which over the 5 is a surprise but hugely better engine must be playing a part here. The standard Suspension and Steering are sublime. The new iDrive and Navigation, it was good before but quite beautiful now. The handling, quite simply the best car for the road I have ever driven. The torque and power are outstanding, especially when you connect this to the economy and CO2, and some subtle things, very nice to get back to the long door and rolling out of the car with my hand on the sill. Perhaps sound a little odd that but for me the lower, wider space makes it feel sporty and special. Finally the wonderful red interior with the grey car, fantastic combination. Negatives, none that aren't ridiculous, the HK system is fantastic but if I was honest not quite as knockout as I was expecting. The coin scoop below right of the steering wheel (remember folks my wheel is on the right of the car) has been removed, but the impression is still there, why?, and for some reason UK cars persist in not having the internal boot/trunk release button down below, but again the shape is there. I found that useful on the 5. Unexpected positives... Apart from the whole thing hugely exceeding my expectations, I think I have a 2015 car as my 'Time' is bottom right in the display and my seat beeps when setting the memory (both 2015 features) I say this as when I ordered I was expecting a 2014, and my car has Voice control which I had in the 5 and was pretty certain was an option. BMW have knocked it out of the park again. |

Could be my car's brother.
I remember you asking when you were considering the 430D. Looks like it pleases. I am still delighted with mine. Fantastic all rounder. Just drove back across from Switzerland and now holidaying in Scotland. Autobahn, motorway, tortuous B roads - all great fun. D.

No M-Sport brakes? Them's the breaks.
Nice car all the same.

> 0-60 in 5.2 Seconds
(Officially, only 0-62mph@5.6s is published as that equates to 0-100kmph which is the European standard. However I have seen other reports that this 0-60 is correct. > 413 LB/FT Torque which in euros is 560 Newton Metres. > 129-131 Co2 Outstanding numbers and on the real road, phenomenal. Bonnet lifting easy power. Brilliant. |

Placed an order for a 430d m-sport last weekend. Should get it in Jan. Can't wait!
Glad to see you're enjoying yours so much. It makes the wait even more unbearable though! I've a 2012 Audi A6 2 litre diesel at the moment. The ride and comfort are great, but it's just not much fun to drive. |

Completely thrilled with it. I never test drove one before my collection and if you have not done the same you will feel a huge dyamic difference between it and your Audi. It is outstanding.
Please do comment when you finally get yours. That is a long wait for such a brilliant thing. |

it looks awesome, great colour combo! To be honest I dont know exactly why somebody would buy 435i,28i instead of 435d and 430d. Such a great engines are these diesels. Amazing fuel economy and outstanding performance as far as im concern they even exceed the petrol ones.

Good to re-read your review. I am definitely one for preferring a known suspension reaction, even though I have not driven the adaptive I am sure for me it was the correct choice.
What a great car. |

People are loving that engine in our 535d, btw (it's actually the 3.0d, but there's a bunch of marketing involved.) |
