Angry Armest buzzing - Need help please!!!

Guys, I seriously need some help. I have been living with rattles since I have had the car; August 2013 to be exact. After 8 trips to the dealership, most of the center console area rattles are gone. However the most annoying of them all is the "Center Armrest Buzzing", which still exists. It starts all of a sudden and goes away all of a sudden too. When it starts buzzing, it does not stop even if I open the armrest like it used to. I would have to apply great amount of pressure to temporarily make it stop but alas comes back again. Any ideas/suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated. Maybe a DIY to how to take this SOB apart to see, what or why is this happening?

Along with the aging tires, the roads are made of concrete, making it even worse.

Do you have the plate for the phone cradle in there? I do, and I had this same exact issue.

I discovered it was actually the base plate (not the plate cover) that was buzzing against the bottom of the armrest box. I removed it (sort of a pain, as there are a lot of little clips) and felted the bottom of the box really well. Reassembled and no more rattles.

Thanks for replying. Initially I thought it was the plate cover too. Obviously taking it out did not do anything. This buzzing mostly starts when my arm is resting on top it. I will definitely look into your solution. How did you take it out? What did you use to felt the bottom? Thanks again.

Did you take anything out? Or just sprayed through the opening by the hinges? Btw, does your armrest slide by any chance?
