a quick JB4 question

Where do you guys have your main JB4 unit in, DME box or outside of DME box and run the wires under the grommet(not sure if the wires are long enough to reach and maybe the engine gets too hot for the main unit if left outside of DME box?)? I have mine inside the DME box but since the wire bundle plastic thing is kinda thick, i had to use some force to close the DME box!

I took out one of the wire strands that runs into the dme box and on the bottom of it I just cut out some of the rubber. Just enough for the jb4 wires to take up all that space and it fits perfectly. That way they're not being smashed down by the dme cover.
