Retrofitting LED headlights
I have standard headlights on my F80 M3 and I don't know how I missed it when I ordered the car but I asked my dealer if he could change it to LED since the car is already at the dealership but he said no.
My question is can I change them to LEDs when they become available? |

im sure.. the cost will most likely be fairly high until people start wrecking their cars and there is more used lights on the market. I would imagine the actual physical side of the swap wouldnt be too terrible.

Do non led cars have the same hardware? I thought leds in the US also had auto high beams. If no driver assist and exec do you get the cameras to detect oncoming traffic?

The LEDs on our cars are the same as the ones on the 4 series, you can get a pair of new headlights for $1000 off ebay. Now to swap the lights idk, talked to eas and they told me to give it a few months. I know the LED swap in the F10 was about $5k but that was because the early models were not meant to have LEDs

Yeah that's the wrong way. I'm looking at SO exterior w/ extended BLK. BLK 19s. It is DCT which I wasn't planning for but I am not really a purist either way. Have owned both. But it doesn't have Adaptive Suspension or LED pack. I figured I could take the 3k I save off those two packages and buy some KW V3. But I'm worried I'll really miss LED.
