Question for you Estoril Blue owners

Have you got tired of the color at all? How do you like it compared to Alpine White? Also, does it every look really light in some lightings? Or does it usually look like this color....

I love the colour although I didn't select it as the was the dealers demonstrator. If I was to buy the car new my colour of choice would still have been Estoril blue followed by black and then white.

I really liked it until yesterday...went to the local dealership and they had 2 Estoril Blue 335s and 1 Estoril Blue M235i in stock. Out in the sun it looked almost pastel, washed out, too light colored for me. I've switched my ideal build over to the Mineral Grey w/ Oyster instead - they had one on the lot and it looked 10x better under direct sun to me. I like those wheels in the pic you posted though...what are those? Got any more pics from the side?

edit - disclaimer, I don't own an Estoril Blue but was going to order one in that color. Still holding off on ordering for another month or two while trying to land a job/internship.

I'm worried about what you just said, that it looks pastel under heavy light... anyone else say that is true? Any pictures in direct light?

They're the M5 Reps I think. Here's a link to the thread with more pics

You can see the light blueish tint in a couple of the pics in that thread on the doorjamb when the doors are opened a few pics down. The pics in that thread have enough dark and shade from the light to darken the paint a bit and make it look ok - I was on the lot at about 2pm in San Jose, not a cloud in sight, 80 degrees and sunny. Up close and personal it just didn't do it for me like I was hoping it would. The darker blue on the older 335 is more my style, or even the darker shade on the M5 I forget what it's called but it's just a tad bit darker and definitely deeper in person.

This one's a pretty good shot of direct sunlight, but it still appeared even worse in person for me. Maybe it's just my eyes I dunno and from what I've seen in threads on here everyone who did get it has been happy with it, but my personal preference is a darker shade. Look at the upper rear half of the vehicle in this shot, that's pretty much what it looked like to me in person. No depth to the color.

After about 1 year I'm still in love with EBII. It was actually EBII or nothing for me when I was shopping for my car and I don't regret it one bit.

The car looks beautiful in the picture you have on your profile page. Do you wax it to get that mirror shine?

Yeah, his profile pic looks awesome. EBII seems to look far better under shadow/overcast/less than direct sunlight to me.

Never had one before, the previous 3 were graphite. The dealer suggested the EBII saying I should get a life for once. Had my doubts, but I still like a lot it a year later. After all the hand-wringing it was, I hate to say (especially to the dealer), "the right thing to do".

I don't own one but under bright sunlight I didn't like it.

Still loving the colour after 22 months of ownership. Still get lots of compliments from folks on the colour.

I really liked it initially... Until almost everybody ordered that colour for their F30 and it's all I see on the road. It seriously has become the new white.

I don't own one BTW.

Good thing there aren't many BMW F30's where I live. Only seen like 3-4 and all are Alpine White and not one M-Sport.

There's a lot of F30's in my area, but very few EBII. I only see one every few weeks or so.

Still love the color, no complaints at all here.

I love the color and it's also really rare, I've only seen 3 on the road in over a year of ownership. With that said, I love it just as much as I did on day one.

That's great to hear. I am definitely going to pull the trigger on the one I found that has all the packages I want, just hope I can get the lease price I want since it's a 2014 model.

First two are my old F30, last one are my new babies.

There isn't enough blue in the world. Lol.

Here is something I find weird. I live in the New York metropolitan area (I am in NJ and this is included in the cities sphere of influence).
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Y...ropolitan_area

I commute to the city every weekday and I promise you I have seen like 5 other EB II F30s. It's strange since it seems to be the popular color. However I think this is the case with enthusiasts here on bimmerpost. EBII needs msport which makes the F30 more expensive. Only enthusiasts are willing to pay more for the car not your point A to B type drivers.
