335i M Sport sport/DS
Ok, I've researched but still clear as mud. If I put my 335i M sport shifter to the left, it goes to S1 and there is no DS. Is this correct?

I see guys talking about DS mode but on my car when I put the shifter to the left the indication on the dash is S1. I guess my question is do some cars say DS on the dash?

I think the DS thing comes from previous models where it actually displayed DS on the dash. On my F32 (and I think it's the same for the F3x) you'll just see S and the gear that you're in.

My 5-series goes to S1, S2, etc. No DS on the display when moving the shifter to M/S mode and not using the steptronic/manual function.
