Battery Registration - I'll pay to use your Bavarian Technic Tool - Chicago, IL

I've got an 06 330i that needs a new battery after all these years. In doing my research I discovered that this is not a simple DIY like in most other cars, b/c the battery has to be registerd with the ECU.

Dealers / Indies want a crazy amount of money to replace a battery, but it appears the the Bavarian Technic Diagnositc tool can register a battery too.

Does anyone here in the Chicago area have one that I can use to do this? I'll pay you for the use of it.

Thanks in advance

You don't need Bavarian Technic Tool...spend ~$20 on a cable, download the free software, and reset it yourself.

Mine does.
Don't think of it as a cheap eBay cable.
It is a matter of cable quality and establishing a connection on your computer.
Meaning.... Does your computer have the correct drivers installed for that cable.

My cable works with DIS and BMWLogger.

Not sure about this cable, but mine looks exactly like it:
