Mineral white owners

I have a mineral white 135 and have dark rubbing marks that look like they are in the paint. I think it was from my car cover, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I to have had problems with marks on the paint finish , however I use "T Cut" very lightly and find that that removes the marks. How they arrive I have no idea.

They waxed out but are back after using the car cover again, so it's not a problem. I haven't noticed any other marks yet.

I had a really really weird experience with my Audi A4 one time. One day I noticed water marks underneath my clear coat layer. I don't know why they got there. It only happened once in my 12 year history with this car. But the solution was very simple: blow hot air over them by a hair dryer. The paint easily went back to looking new.

Not sure if you have that problem. But I thought I'd share.

I have Alpine White and had no such issues with my car cover last year.

Don't car covers cause more harm than good? Just curious. I heard that the rubbing of the cloth isn't good for the clearcoat.

I have never heard that but you're probably right, I leave my car in an uncovered parking lot for four or five weeks at a time so I wouldn't leave it there without a cover. I have never kept a car long enough to answer this question but I do plan on keeping this one, so I will report back in ten or twelve years. No, but I do see rub marks now with the mineral white, that can't be good.

I've heard that but never seen proof. All the more reason to spend a bit more to get a quality cover.

Car covers should NEVER be put on cars stored outdoors. Doesn't matter how soft they are, sand gets in there and wind flapping damages the paint.

Car covers should only go on spotlessly clean cars stored indoors.
