Center Channel

I have the HK system but wondering how to adjust the center channel. When I play DVDs, I hear all the music and background sounds but not the actors voices. When the DVD is playing the previews all is well. However; as soon as the movie starts the voices stop. Regualar DVDs not bluetooth.

Check which type of processing your movie is using (DTS, Dolby Digital) and select the other one.

Usually in the title menu or main menu of the DVD there is an audio settings area.

At the actual DVD menu (audio or setup selection).

Since I can't actually access the DVD menu from the car's system, I was wondering. Is there a center channel setting that may be coded to off that needs to be turned on? The reason I ask is no matter what "movie DVD or usb movie (mp4), I get the same results, no voices. Again the wife's reality DVDs play just fine, but not interested in watching those in the car or in the house.

Update

Seems as if my center channel is not working. Took the car in and the Ser. Advisor sent notified me that they are having the engineers look into the problem. Looks like I'll be driving loaner while they track down the issue.

Fixed

Service dept. recoded the idrive to factory defaults, so they said and now all is well. Service Adviser list said the problem was a software issue. But now specifics when pushed for details.
