maybe downhill
I tried one app called Drag Timer, and got times from 5.9s and up to 7.3s. Not very reliable IMO

Think its quick but possible. This is a run Terry did with an early version.

Sorry don't have a V-Box run for the tune only 335 or 335is. I do have one for Terry's personal car around someplace & it was 3.0 to 60 FBO with stock turbos. IIRC the 1/4 was very low 11 seconds @ very high 120's. WAG is 11.1 @ 129mph. Actual drag strip numbers backed the V-Box up.
My 335is tune only with a early test of pre-ISO 335IS specific Map 7 is listed on Drag Times 12.5 @ 114mph. No 0-60 available but the 1/8 mile interval timing showed 8.0 @ 90.4mph. Thing to remember is this was an N-54 with the very boost friendly 335is ECU which was different from the factory than the regular 335i N54/55.

Lol you guys are on crack. Not even the most hardcore fan-boys cannot seriously believe that the 328i can do 4.9s. Then what about 335i? 3.9s? And M3? 1.9? Hahaha you crack me up ...

This official bmw app is very cool. It actually uses I drive and gps to get its readings. Not just an accelerometer based app.
I has to be connected to I drive to work. That is how you start it recording. You can review your run, from the GPS map. It shows shift points, throttle position, fuel used. Among others. |

My 0-62mph with MPPK was 4"9, with lots of wheel spin.

I have no idea if this app is trust-worthy. We don't know how it's made, the underlying connection with idrive, whether it accurately detects beginning and end, etc.. It's way too many variables. vbox is probably a better choice. I think someone that has a vbox should use both at the same time and post the comparison.

Why V-box should be better? Have you got some evidences?
BMW Lap-timer connects to GPS and to DME of the car. If you record your laps on track you can see also the % of usare of throttle, the movements of the steering, the rpm in every single moment or the gears used... Said that, 4"8 for 0-60mph seems too much good to me too for a 428i, even if it is tuned.

I don't know first hand but I would think that using launch control on an x-drive car would provide a very fast 0-60 time, certainly faster than the rwd cars.
