hello, i replaced my car battery and lpfp and still have a long startup from time to time. sometimes it seems to start right up, other times it takes about 6 seconds before actually starting up. what else could be the problem? thank you

I experienced this for over a year with no codes thrown. Finally threw a code that linked to hpfp, replaced it and starts right up, only 2-3 cranks now.

HPFP. I'm on #6. Bet your battery and LPFP were fine.

Thank you everybody for the replies. I was under the impression that when the hpfp is dying upon startup the rpm needle moves erratically, I don't have that at all. Once the car starts up it is perfectly fine

Check your coils, have you thrown any codes? I have done more than one HPFP, and most recently ended up having one bad coil, and I checked codes right after start it had a "intermittent camshaft position sensor". Solved by replacing one coil. It would long start randomly, but always start.

i have no codes and i have no misfires so i dont think any of my coils are bad. I also just got all my spark plugs changed as well.

The rpm needles do not need to move erratically for the HPFP to be failing.

As mentioned above it is most probably the HPFP
If you are having the long crank only at cold start , it could be injector failing.

That was the case for me, if it is the injector and it's leaking your oil could be contaminated as well.

No, the car ran relatively strong too, much stronger with new plugs and injectors though. First dealership gave me the no codes = no problem diagnosis, had to go to another dealership and they replaced both banks (1 leaky injector in each bank) under warranty.
