Wipers

Can anyone explain how wipers work on my 14 335i w rain sensor . Today in the rain when on low speed work I press rs button they come on and go to int then I assume you adjust the delay but seems to have a mind of its own swipe when it wants. I know it should read the glass to work but does not. Keep up sometimes?

Doesn't work for me either. I have to wipe manually all the time with auto. Also the other wiping modes are too fast for light rain, but auto doesn't even see the light rain, so I'm stuck pushing the lever manually which is ridiculous

The dial adjusts sensitivity of the rain sensor.
I forget which way is which, but dial it one way or the other to increase the speed at which the wipers will react.

I found the lowest sensitivity is good for a mist or drizzle style rain.

Hmm, the most sensitive setting for me was basically right under them being on full time.
Started to get annoying actually.
Strange to hear thats not fast enough.
Mine have been pretty spot on so far.

Im pretty sure you can code that to disable the rain sensor and turn them into intermittent wipers instead, and the dial giving you a few clicks of intermittent speed levels.

It works quite well, and I love being able to control the sensitivity. I leave mine on the least sensitive setting (bottom position), but if the rain gets progressively worse, I set it a little higher and don't worry about it.

Works perfect for me. I never played with the sensitivity. It just left it in the middle

Works very well for me.
I usually keep it 1 notch from the least sensitive setting.
Only time its not so great is in mist.
Nice thing is if you need an extra wipe, just flick down on the wiper stalk and you will get an extra manual wipe while it stays in "auto"

This feature with a light rain has always been a thing that is lacking. However, with a regular amount of rain or better it will wipe ok. I still use rain X on the windscreen so that it beads and flies off. With that said I do know that some models work differently than the F30. I know that my Z wipes more often than my 3 in the same amount of rain. Not sure though why the difference. My 1 was also the same as the 3.
