No map that we've ever released made any changes to start-up or idle. In fact, the PROcede is completely bypassed during those conditions. If you remove it (or install the bypass plugs), you're car will behave the same. I sent you an email earlier this morning, btw.

No issues here and i've left my car in hot and cold temps outside. Never affected startup and or idle. It's possible that the connections to the procede wiring may not be connecting?

No you are not the only one. Mine has been doing this recently on cold startup. To the point where it goes in limp mode. Restart and it's gone. IF this keeps up I may revert back to the 2.02 MT map where I had no trouble (assuming the map is the cause). Shiv: could it be a loose wire connection??

Yes. It will be a loose wire connection. Not the map. The PROcede mapping is essentially bypassed during start-up/idle conditions.

Mine loaded with 2.0.2 19-12 does the same thing when starting from cold.. I reflashed back to the older firmware and v2.0.1 map and didn't get the problem anymore.

Thing is, the problem is repeatable! All I have to do is flash the new firmware and upload v2.0.2. Rpm will gallop continuously then go into limp. Power cycling the engine usually fixes the problem though.

Nothing has changed with my hardware(ecu/procede) during this time.

I get the same problem too...never had the problem with the V1.47. I dont think its because of loose wires because a few other people have this problem. I live in Southern Cali so its definitely not because of a cold start.
Any suggestions?

I had the same problem once few weeks ago with V1.47, rough on cold start then turn off and on again, it was fine afterward....Shiv told me it may be my fuel pump issue....but since then...never happen again.

I felt this too but i realized the more i drove, the better it became. I don't have any issues with cold starts till now and am keeping my fingers crossed. I really dont know if its because we dont disconnect our batteries to let it adapt fast enough. Shiv doesnt do it. To what extent would this help i wonder other than just fast adaptation.

When you start the car from a cold start, rev the engine for up to 1500-1600 rpms for a second and it should be okay...This was mentioned by Eugene i think something about wastegates pressure or something

apparently all of you have loose wires, and the fact that flashing back to an earlier version fixes it proves nothing

I installed the latest V2 map and keep getting the Service Engine Soon (SES) with a code of 0503. I also did the speed delimit mod. I hope I did everything correctly.

I loaded the delimit V2 map and did the following mod with my old Green loom:

- I extracted the white/green wire of pin #17 of the grey subconnector of the smaller ECU connector and connected it to pin #4 ( digital input #4 ) of the black PROcede connector.

- I connected pin #9 ( digital output #4 ) of the black PROcede connector to pin #17 of the grey subconnector of the smaller ECU connector.

The SES light only comes on after driving for a few miles while in 4th at low RPMs. I have put 100 miles on the car so far and it has throne the code both times after I have cleared it.

Any ideas?

no loose wires here 100%! so it has to be the MAP,becouse it never had happened before on any other map v1 or v2, also new map at 96% TQ will give you check engine light at high RPMS, but there is way out, just set 6000 rpms at 96% TQ 6500rpms at 94% TQ and 7000rpms at 92% TQ 7500 rpms and up at 90% TQ and it will be fine, i had burned 3/4 of tank to day to test it and it works fine with those setings

Just started my car today with no problems. It's only the third day with the new map so if I ever get the cold start problem again, I will update you guys.

So your saying that the multiple people in this thread that changed nothing but the map and are now exhibiting this problem all have loose wires that just magically became loose at the exact moment of changing the map?

So should 2.0.2 users downgrade to 2.0.2 ? or maybe stick with 2.0.2, or even go to the original 2.0.2 ? LOL good thing there is LITERALLY 5 versions of 2.0.2 ... all with problems... makes it easy

I think someone else might be the one with a wire loose this time...

no offense of course

FWIW, I emailed LuckyD a map that extends the time that the PROcede is bypassed during start-up. We'll see if that makes a difference to his start-up condition. I'm not posting it here because I can't see how the new changes can possibly make any difference with respect to start-up. And I don't want to flood the forum with new maps. When dealing with 0s and 1s, anything is possible, of course. So we are looking into it the best we can without ever having seen this condition ourself.
